Scotland

Tasty fusion album that has its roots in some of the American eighties jazz-rock fraternity, with choppy, strident rhythms, plenty of fierce and tender electric guitar work, plus sax and keyboards completing the picture.Very much melodic as well as powerful, this is muscular stuff in the main that fans of jazz-rock, with the emphasis on jazz, will find a real treat. Most of the lead share is taken up by the saxes and guitars, while the rhythms sound crisp, solid and excellently produced. The instrumentals are arranged and composed exceedingly well, with plenty of depth and melodic content, but also incredibly solid which gives the music that extra bite that most of the eighties mob just didn't have.

Overall, a very competent, confident and enjoyable album.
